What is good and what is bad nowadays? At present you can be arrested for demonstrating against criminal practices; the criminals are safe, because they are in power.

Guardian: "A civil servant and an MP's researcher were today found guilty of leaking a secret memo detailing talks between George Bush and Tony Blair on the Iraq war.
Sir Nigel Sheinwald, the prime minister's leading foreign policy adviser, who said his advice to Mr Blair covered the 'waterfront' of foreign, defence and security issues, was persistently questioned about whether documents were marked secret simply to cover up political embarrassment, but denied it."

All opponents of the existing regime are terrorists, of course. Something Germany seems to have the monopoly of.

AFP: "France's right-wing president-elect Nicolas Sarkozy defiantly rejected criticism Wednesday of his holiday on a luxury yacht owned by a billionaire businessman friend.
The president-elect flew to Malta with his wife and son on Monday to relax and prepare his new government after he beat the Socialist Segolene Royal in Sunday elections with promises to embark on a radical reform programme.
They arrived on a Falcon jet belonging to French industrialist and media mogul Vincent Bollore and then boarded a 60-metre (200-foot) yacht also owned by Bollore."
And that is what it is all about; Sarkozy will be fêted by his rich friends and he will return the favours. It's the same arrogance we saw in Berlusconi.

TheHill: "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is threatening to take President Bush to court if he issues a signing statement as a way of sidestepping a carefully crafted compromise Iraq war spending bill."
But George too has his friends in court, that's the first thing he saw to when he came to power. It's the rule of the mob, duh!
