ABCNews: "The angry mother of a fallen U.S. soldier staged a protest near President Bush's ranch on Saturday, demanding an accounting from the president of how he has conducted the war in Iraq.
Supported by more than 50 shouting demonstrators, Cindy Sheehan, 48, told reporters, 'I want to ask George Bush: Why did my son die?'"
The local sheriff's deputies made the protesters walk in a ditch along the road. There was a time when we called such policemen 'pigs'.
In a recent poll 48% of respondents think Bush is honest, while 50% do not. A solid majority still see Bush as likable and a strong leader, but Bush's overall job approval was at 42%, with 55% disapproving.
So a good number of Americans know he is a liar and a failure but still find him likable. That says a lot about those people, who probably consider themselves 'patriots'. The end justifies the means, what?
Why not admit it? Bush stole his second election as well. He is a crook and a liar.
Harper's: "The press has had little to say about most of the strange details of the election - except, that is, to ridicule all efforts to discuss them.
Concerning the decisive contest in Ohio, the evidence is lucidly compiled in a single congressional report, released by Representative John Conyers of Michigan, which, for the last half-year, has been available to anyone inclined to read it. It is a veritable arsenal of 'smoking guns' - and yet its findings may be less extraordinary than the fact that no one in this country seems to care about them." (Executive summary of the report)
As you sow, so shall ye reap. The Bush administration promotes crime.
TBO: "Others besides Bunnatine Greenhouse have testified that Halliburton, the biggest holder of American rebuilding contracts in Iraq, has deceived the government and cheated taxpayers.
As a food manager at a U.S. military camp, Mayberry said he witnessed KBR employees serving spoiled food to American troops, including items whose expiration date was more than a year old, and food from trucks that had been bombed and shot at."
