Haaretz: "In a letter published Tuesday, the settler community leaders called on the government to toughen its policies in the territories even at the cost of civilian Palestinians lives. They also declared that the army should show less regard for the welfare of Palestinian civilians if terrorists are hiding in their midst."
I was under the impression that there was already no regard whatsoever for the welfare of Palestinian civilians. How worse can it get?
AJ: "... the rabbis said killing enemy civilians is 'normal' during the time of war and that the Israeli occupation army should never hesitate to kill non-Jewish civilians in order to save Jewish lives."
How sad to hear this from a people that once was treated the same way by German Nazis. Will we never learn?
