Nintendo looks to next-gen console. Nintendo admits sales of its GameCube have been poor but it is already working on a next-generation games console. [BBC News | Technology | UK Edition]

This is Big news.  It had been widely speculated that Nintendo's sale of RARE was a sign that the company was going to leave the console market and just make games<as sega has done>.   It is still a long way off but it looks like they are going to keep there hat in the ring.  The existence of 3 viable gamming consul is actually quite good for gamers as it keeps competition for good games up and the prices of the consuls down.
