The answer is fairly simple. We don't make the assumption that every time you render a web page that you also want to requery all of the data being displayed. Read on at the above link for some tips on how to get what you want...

I enjoyed reading the transcript of Steve Jobs' Commencement Speech at Stanford University. You might, too.

I still remember when my Dad took me every year to the West Coast Computer Faire. At one of them, I remember seeing Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in a makeshift booth made up of some tables, showing off an open-air version of the Apple I computer prototype. Later my father, whose business was running two factories that made women's clothes, decided to get into the act and make custom Apple II computer dust covers. One year he and I worked our own small booth at one of those faires, selling these hand-made dust covers... The good ol' days... :-)
