The benefits of moderate drinking are undeniable but, like all prevention strategies, invisible — disease simply does not happen. On the other hand the ravages of excessive alcohol use are all too visible. The key is moderate--and depending on one's notion of moderation, to some it might be "miniscule"!

We just moved to Minneapolis, from Indianapolis, from the northeast before that. It is definitely VERY COLD here, but the number of blue-sky days in winter has been a very pleasant suprise. In CT and upstate NY, most of the winter days are very gray and dreary. Up here, on the other hand, it seems the norm is bright sunny days (which of course usually means clear and very cold overnight, but as long as the furnace is working, I can live with that). I LOVE to see the sun.
