In keeping New Years' Resolutions, I find that it helps to start early. My resolution for 2005? To take excellent care of our vehicles' tires. The cornerstone of that is regular alignments. They can really get expensive, but fortunately, the local Chrysler dealer offers $40 liftetime alignments.

I listened to my first podcast today. Or I should say, portion of a podcast. It was by Dave Winer, and I have to say, it was B-O-R-I-N-G. I have enjoyed reading his weblog regularly for five years, but I don't think podcasts are going to be for me.

When you have freezing rain, or other forms of "wintry mix", accumulated on your car, it takes a toll on your wiper blades. The rubber becomes very stiff, and not so effective, and it seems like using them under these unfavorable conditions also accelerates their deterioration. It seems to me like heated wiper blades would be a nice improvement. Oh, I see they are available, aftermarket. Still, they don't seem very common, and AFAIK, are not available as original equipment. Would definitely be a nice option (along with heated mirrors and seats, part of the "weather package").
