Okay, I just started dabbling with Blogger, and maybe it will give me a new appreciation for Radio. First I was getting these weird "your template is empty" errors. I made some no-op edit to the template and those went away.

Next thing I realized is that publishing is akin to uploading, unlike in Radio (yes, I remember Dave Winer bragging, rightfully, about this when Radio first came out). It is SLOW--and that is with an empty, test blog.

Worst of all, I have a couple of test posts, but nothing displays at:

I find it quite ironic that Japan is being considered for a permanent seat on the U.N. Security Council at a time when its future is imperiled by catastrophic population decline!

I despise legal-sized paper (unfortanately, I work in an industry where it is fairly common). The incremental increase in size is not nearly worth the inconvience in handling. I would grudgingly admit that 11 x 17 has its place, though still should be avoided if at all possible.

Anyway, I happened to mention this to to a colleague who works at a 3M factory, and he replied that, as part of the Six Sigma effort, all sizes other than 8.5 x 11 had been banned!
