Why does Windows second-guess me when I try to quit or log off? At home, where I have fast user-switching enabled, I have to click Start-Log Off, then--depending on what is running, maybe wait a few moments--select between Log Off and Switch Users. Why can't all options be presented from the Start menu?

Similarly, at work, where of course there is no fast user-switching, I click Start-Shut Down, and then I am presented with a drop-down giving me choices of Shut Down, Restart, Log Off.
