Screwed up on my presentation. I'm not Japanese yet .. I need to get assimilated.
It's been a crazy two days. I had to prepare a presentation to a large client .. which was OK .. but I had to learn to present this in Japanese. I F*CKED it up. I froze .... Funny thing is the deal was probably already done, but for my training's sake we went through it(I didn't know this either). I was sweating ... like the PIG I am. I didn't know how large this deal was ... $n00, 000.00 just for the small portion I am involved in. Now, I know they just put me up there to push me, which is fine with me. At least I know I didn't screw up some deal. Was stressing for the past couple of days though.
On Monday, I think I'm gonna get involved in another project. This project involves IBM and Vignette .. the client I won't mention. This client is just as big ... I only hope that I don't mess things up ... I guess mess things up seems light .. so F*CK things up.
I can talk to friends and stuff easily, but when all these Japanese businessmen are around I get nervous pretty fast. I don't have problems understanding .. but replying intelligently ... I think that's the key. Maybe I'm afraid to reply and sound STUPID!?! Wait .. maybe I always sound STUPID .. NOOOOO!
I gotta go get me something to drink .... ahhhhh.
I know, I know .. the photos .. tomorrow's Saturday so I'm thinking about going to Akihabara to take some shots. About a week ago, I went to this place called Aso Bit City. It's basically 4 or 5 stories of kewl stuff. The 1st floors got all the console games .. even news ones that aren't sold yet .. and you can play them. I played the Devil May Cry2 .. fun, but what I loved was that XBox game with the huge controller. I'll take some shots the next time I go.
DAM = Digital Asset Management
Basically to management your digital files from photos to video files .. and regular DOC files. I guess since alot of what was paper are now files .. there needs to be a better way of organizing the stuffs. I'm working on a DAM-like system .. gonna do a mockup system in CFMX using the new CFCs.
