I think Kinko's motto should be changed to NO we can't do that, NO we can't do that, NO we can't do that either.
I went in to get some magazine articles scanned at a high resolution with better equipment than I have a home for a website design and they said NO that can't do that, its copyrighted material - i didn't see a copyright anywhere on that magazine and neither did the other place I ended up going to.
Then I wanted them to print out my tutorials in color and bind them in a specific order. NO, we can't do that either because I had put a copyright on my materials (its my material, I created them, I have the right to get them printed) and the other place i went too had no problem printing my copyrighted material which I created
They turned some poor women away that wanted to copy a picture of her grandchild and why, the picture was copyrighted by the photographer. I heard them discuss someone's business card, they couldn't reproduce the card from a copy and needed in an eps format , that women looked bewildered, she asked what illustrator was and they said NO they couldn't help her
I asked if they had a computer guy onsite that could help me with the self-service scanner - NO, we don't offer that service.
Now tell me exactly why does Kinko's exist anymore? They can't do seem to do anything these days since FedEx bought them. They used to be really really helpful in getting a project done and now they can't do anything because NO they don't offer that service, NO they aren't allowed to do that
so word of advice - go check out Staples Copy and Print Center - great people and YES they can help you
