while i sit here and wait for my nail polish to dry..lets see updates..where have I been in the last month, what thoughts have been going through my head, what's being going on? Summary ~ Polish-Cork-Tree-Date-Gym-Goth-Back-Heat
I got new cork flooring for my bedroom and started to take out the carpet and the baseboards and discovered mold all over the drywall which explains all the texturing all over the walls and crackling paint everywhere and everything I read about mold says to take out the bad drywall and get to the root of the problem on the wood..so my whole master room is gutted and I thought hmm, while I'm doing that, I might as well paint the room the color I wanted, found a goregous color called magic spell - deep blackish raspberry color - one wall only and the rest of the walls a chalk color - it seems weird but it works, i think. And might as well insulate the room since its all apart anyways...now the fun part, my bed is in piece in the guest room, the dresser is in the hallway because that was as far as I could move it by myself, the mattress is wedge against that because it wouldn't go any further due to the dresser being in the way. My clothes are in the living room and hanging on racks in the guest room and to get to the guest bed, I climb on a chair and get in and the guest bed - way too short for me, it has been since I lived at home (yes, if you're wondering, that's my childhood furniture in the guest room, I inherited it when I was little and my wonderful mom kept it all these years until I could have a place for it) So the cork flooring still sits in the living room until I get the room done - insulation, new drywall, mudding, put the new french doors in, maybe install a little window above the doors and hopefully C is going to help with this project, that's another story for another day. So I'm thinking maybe by October, I'll be back in my room all painted, new floors and french doors too.
Oh yea, I realized something interesting, actually maybe because my PGE bill is actually only 70 per month, its that stupid gas insert that was causing my PGE bill to be 500 a month during the winter, I'm going to see if I can live without having it on this winter and just run space heaters until I can get a better heating system.
Berkeley Tree Sitters - why can't berkeley just build around that last standing tree? Ok, I haven't kept up with the news, maybe the tree is gone now, but people build around trees all the time, what is with berkeley?
If you haven't seen me in a while or if you have and you can't quite put your finger on what is different, i cut 8 inches off my hair and changed the color a smidgen.
What else is going on in this head? If one more person calls me today, I'm going to scream. The phone has not stopped ringing and my clients are like - you always answer the phone. You know sometimes I need to concentrate on one thing and not the incessant calls. I will get to you, just not right at this moment and that's all I'm going to vent about my clients today. Except one thing, next year, I am blocking out the first two weeks of Sept, this is ridicilous the amount of work that gets piled on me during corporate tax season.

I went on my first blind date last night. So out of my comfort zone but I did it. Yeah me, I did it!! The guy was nice, not exactly how he was described but he was nice. More of a friend vibe than I'm totally attractived vibe - ok, he knows about the blog, I told him I blogged, so if you're reading this here, you're cool and it was fun meeting you. Honestly I can't remember the last time I actually went on a date. And last night, omg, I had had about 8 hours of sleep in 2 days, today makes it about 16 hours of sleep in 3 days, so I was yawning a good portion of the time - not him, just me being exhausted and pushing myself to hard. Today he texted me a couple of times, I've been so busy today, I just didn't have time to chat. He was interesting, really into sports and you know me, sports and me, what am I talking about, sports and me, there is no sports and me.
Although I've been thinking about possibly joining a volleyball league or trying raquetball which leads me into what else I have been doing..I joined a gym and I swear tommorrow, I'm going swimming. I've decided it might be a good thing for me to trying hanging out with people my own age for a little while. The young ones don't know WTF they want, you'd think I'd learn from a long line of past experiences and why am I so afraid of people my own age, guys my own age, they are probably just like me. And me and exercise, I think the gym is definetly the way its going to happen, I don't see myself getting much further.
And on that note, out of my comfort zone + I want to see my friends play in their band, I'm going out tonight to see Marrow and Saints of Ruin, who knows maybe I'll meet a cute guy or two or at least tell my friend congrats on getting married, I haven't seen him since forever, which is why I'm painting my nails and actually putting on makeup tonight. Amazing, going out on a Friday night. If you like Gothic Rock, check them out.
And last but not least, I am doing something about my back. I found a totally cool new chiropractor, Advanced Chiropractic Concord, she actually called me tonight to see how I was doing after my adjustment, something my old chiropractor never did, I don't think he's ever called me to see how I was doing. Although they need a website, ooooo more business or maybe some trade for the care. I'm not going to lie, its not cheap but I can't live in this pain, I can barely sit all day.
