Keeping a poker face for this defendant should not be a problem. I'm not really sure what to say about this one except that it's going to be a hard sell by the plaintiif to a jury. A woman, whose husband is a "Hollywood mover and shaker," sued Allergan, Inc., the company that makes Botox (you know, the drug that paralyzes the muscles on our forehead so the wrinkles don't become permanent) and her dermatologist. She claims that she was treated with Botox for migraines (yeah right, from her dermatologist) but became "extremely ill." Her husband also sued for his "loss of comfort, companionship, intimacy." But, the drug company has the right idea. . .to defend to "complete vindication." Anything short of that may open the floodgates. Read more in this article from law.com.
