Thursday, April 24, 2003 Yard trumpets crime falls Burglary, car crime, homicides and street crime are down across the capital, Scotland Yard said. In the year from April 2002 to March 2003, burglary fell by 2%, car crime was down by just over 1%, the number of homicides dropped by 3%, while street crimes were reduced by nearly 16%, according to the Metropolitan Police's annual crime figures.
