Saved From What?

When you hear the term "saved" - have you ever wondered what one is "saved" from?

Saved From What?

From a biblical perspective, when we speak of being "saved", we are referring to being saved from three things:

Saved from the PENALTY of sin. (JUSTIFICATION)
  • By the shedding of Christ's Blood. Ephesians 1:7
  • By the ongoing intercession by Christ at the right hand of the Father. Romans 8:34
Saved from the POWER of sin. (SANCTIFICATION)
Saved from the PRESENCE of sin. (GLORIFICATION)
How can you tell if you are saved?
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life1 John 5:13
If you have not experienced a Changed Heart or a Changed Life - then you might want to really and prayerfully consider whether you are "saved".  Knowing whether you are saved is not about whether you followed a "specific procedure" or "said specific things" (1 John 3:18), it is truly about an inner decision to follow THE CHRIST with all of one's heart, with all of one's soul, and with all of one's mind - every second, of every minute, of every day - an inner decision that has a visible outward presentation - that of a Changed Heart and a Changed Life.
