BLOG START

Wireless technology is finding rapid application and deployment schemes within the field of medicine. Whether referring to wireless wide-area networks (WWAN) including evolving 3G cellular data networks, wireless local-area networks (WLAN) namely Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) or personal networks (PN) in the form of Bluetooth, wireless is a robust technology that is finding widespread acceptance.

The purpose of this webblog is to provide a forum for those concerned, about the issues (mainly security) that must be addressed in the application of wireless technology in medicine. This blog will also include mention of general wireless issues as it appeals to developing standards and protocols or the implementation in public spaces.
