Understanding the Kucinich Candidacy: Reconciling the American Dream I'm reading A Prayer for America, by Dennis Kucinich. For me, the Kucinich candidacy can best be described as a reestablishment of the relationship "between the claims of the community and the claims of commerce; Between the requirements for economic justice and the imperative for profit; between the public interest and private interest." Hmmm... What could be the common ground between community, economic justice, public interest and commerce, profit, and the private interest? How about security, national security?
Security is the American dream. National Security is the issue.

Hey ! Katie Couric, Ann Curry, Matt Lauer, and Al Roker Fans... Here's another Today show...
Another tip from River Bend > Today in Iraq:
Chicago father visits soldier son in Iraq. The banner on the family home says it all: Proud of our soldier - Ashamed of our President.
And it's commercial free, too.

Baghdad Burning: Update These last few days have been tense- gunshots, helicopters, and explosions. A couple of days ago, we counted around 23 explosions. My cousin, his wife and their two daughters were at our house when the commotion began. A few explosions were so loud, the windows began to rattle with each impact and I had flashbacks of March and April.
River Bend points to > Continuing Collateral Damage: The health and environmental costs of war on Iraq.

Devining PHP Betsy Devine writes: In Java, defining a variable is something that happens only after long, dignified courtship. Not even porcupines mating are so careful. The imports, the classes, the public static void main (String args [] )--and then finally, after many a bouquet of roses, you're ready to beg the favor of, please--let me define a variable or two.
But is she electable?
