"Conversation. What is it? A Mystery! It's the art of never seeming bored, of touching everything with interest, of pleasing with trifles, of being fascinating with nothing at all. How do we define this lively darting about with words, of hitting them back and forth, this sort of brief smile of ideas which should be conversation?" Guy de Maupassant

Blogexperimenting

I've been terribly tied up organizing my trip to the US (Connecticut, Boston, New York and possibly Maine) and to London.  Its a short trip this time - 2 weeks in the US and 4 days in London.

I leave tonight with a somewhat fluid itinerary - meetings with clients on ethnography, qualitative research .... AND .... i have some of them interested in some blog prototypes we are developing.  I'm terribly excited about the possibility that one of the companies has shown interest in experimenting with internal blogging on projects.  Some of the thoughts we're going with are around the use of blogs/wikis for research and innovations, benefits, why its a unique opportunity to adopt these practices in long-term research projects that span different countries, and what we expect to gain from the experiment.

All this accompanied by personal stories and lots of learnings and examples of blogging, fotoblogs, moblogs, wikis, social networks.  Will share more later .... as it evolves.   Any thoughts on this ..... appreciated !

Meanwhile, apologies to people i need to get back to on stuff - apologies Rob, apologies Bill, apologies David ...... for not getting back on articles and our discussions .... i keep thinking of the issues we have been talking about - and will respond in time !
