Sea Eat Blog-Wiki Evolution We have changed the template on the Sea Eat [South-East Asia Earthquake and Tsunami] blog and hopefully cleaned up the messy parts. Also linked to a Sea Eat wiki for easy search on resources. And to another wiki for volunteers (thanks Ross... appreciated). The wikis are works in progress .... Its nice to be able to see lots of learnings on social software over the last two years implemented here. Linking blog to wiki and wiki to blog. Working with the limitations of using Blogger (though Google has been so so kind and offered us unlimited bandwidth). Using blogrolling to enable links to wiki pages. Putting up a Flickr Zeitgest on missing persons. We still need a button/logo. We still need cross-referencing between blog posts and wiki pages. We still need easy migration of data from blog to wiki. Still, iteration one - 5 days since we started, over 450,000 visitors to the blog, so much press, 60 odd contributors, many more volunteers. And so many of my blog buddies helping with suggestions. Thank you guys ! We're now considering transitioning to another platform that enables easy integration between blogs and wikis .. prototyping some ideas at this point .. lets see how that emerges. Which also includes a social networking model. More later .... would love some feedback on this iteration .... 6:10:59 PM comment [] trackback [] |
