The other Dutch International service :-)

Commencing Saturday 4th October LaserRadio.net will be carrying a regular Saturday relay of the Dutch-based Internet station Radio Seagull on 9290 kHz shortwave. The relay will commence at 1000 UTC and end at 1500 UTC. LaserRadio.net is a shortwave relay service provider located in the Republic of Latvia. It operates via a 100 kW transmitter. Recent broadcasts from the Ulbroka transmitting facility have resulted in over 100 reception reports being received from across Europe, North America, Brazil, Venezuela and Australia.

For those of you who don't have a broadband Internet connection to take advantage of the high quality stream, this is a chance to sample Radio Seagull's programming, which is classic rock but of a "heavier" variety than that played on Arrow Classic Rock. Personally, I think this sort of music is best enjoyed late at night when there are less interruptions and noise from outside, but you can always put the headphones on!
