RFID will enable a much improved supply chain over time. However, some of the biggest ‘green field’ opportunities for retailers lie in harnessing the Demand Chain. Improved applications can provide real value to consumers via a stronger link to retailers and create a channel for well-targeted, low-cost marketing. Consumers who own tagged items should be able to benefit from new services you create that incorporate this direct link and the knowledge that the RFID system provides.
