The Massive Power of Business Blogs

Do you have a companion blog for each of your business websites?  If not, you are really missing the boat!

When you update your business site you often have to wait 30 or 60 days to see the changes reflected in the search engines.  Often, by the time the new content is indexed and listed by the SEs it is already stale.  You could have had that same content indexed and listed in as little as one week if you had put it in your business blog instead.  Starting to realize what you're missing?

Why a different blog for each site?  The theme and content of each blog should mirror the theme of the website it supports.  If your site is about vintage Porches, your blog should contain maintenance tips, sources of new cars, pictures of your collection, and links to other valuable content - preferably on your main site!

Let's face it, search engines like Google love blogs and will continue to escalate their indexing of all blog sites. 

There are many types of blog software available to the webmaster.  Some are free and require no installation, others are free and require you to install some code on your server.  Others like Radio Userland have a small annual user charge that is well worth the money.  Take some time and explore the different options - even going so far as starting more than one blog for each main site you own!
