The Power Of Testing And Tracking ALL Online Activity

Here's a short story about the power of testing and tracking:

Dan and Mike both got started with their Internet businesses at the same time.  They both went to the same university, had the same classes, and graduated at the same time.  In the crappy economy of the last few years, neither of them could find their dream jobs, so they decided to go into business on the Internet - a logical decision in these entrepeneurial times.

Both Mike and Dan were talanted athletes, so they decided to write ebooks about sports fitness and training, put up a one-page sales letter, and sell their product through Clickbank.

So far, so good...

Now, they had both worked together up to this point, and their products both contained excellent information and were well written.

This is where the story becomes different for them.

Mike is a perfectionist, and read that you should always test and track everything online.  He told Dan about this, but Dan ignored the advice (he's lazy like me).

While Dan wrote just one sales letter and slapped it up on the Internet, Mike wrote a main sales letter and a nearly identical "test" sales letter.  He used split testing software to drive traffic equally to both letters and measure the sales generated by each.

One by one, Mike would test each of the elements on his sales letter - first tweaking the headline until it had maximum selling power, then moving to the benefits, guarantee wording, graphics, and finally testing different pricing levels.

Once each element was tweaked to achieve maximum selling power, Mike stepped back and let his letter run.  He achieved a 3.3% conversion rate!  Out of every 100 visitors, Mike made over 3  sales!

Guess what Dan's conversion rate was?

Just a little over 1%...only one in a hundred bought from Dan, even though the products were nearly identical.

Suddenly, Mike is making over 3 times what Dan is making, with just a little bit of extra work (it's not even work - it's actually kind of fun to mess around and try out different ideas and strategies on your online projects), and will continue to make this much or even MORE if he continues testing!

The moral of this story is that you are NOT DONE WORKING once your product is created, your sales letter is set up, and you begin making sales.  One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to not test EVERYTHING you can think of.

By methodically testing and tweaking your work, you will wring the maximum profit out of every single project you sell online.  Get some testing software right now, load it up on your server, and start increasing your profits!

PS - This is the software the pros use.  You can install it on as many sites as you want, do up to 3-way split testing, and even test the effectiveness of your email sign-up pages.  Take a look today!
