How To Open Adobe Acrobat .pdf Files In Half The Time
I'm really tired of waiting for .pdf files to open...
Every time I click on a .pdf file I think to myself "Oh NO - not a .pdf file - there goes another 30 seconds of my life!" These things take a ridiculous amount of time to open, but they sure are handy for creating and reading online documents. What a shame.
Thankfully, I just found out that you can open your .pdf files in about half the time by holding down the "Shift" key BEFORE clicking on either a link or a file containing a .pdf. This will disable some of the advanced features (most of which you never use anyway), but you will still be able to read it just fine.
When you need to use the advanced features, just open it the way you used to. This tip has already saved me about 30 minutes, and I've only been using it for a week...
