I haven't forgotten about Kate Sullivan but there's another person that's caught my notice on the Podcast front. Shahrum Amiri's audio blog is kind of good. I've also started sampling some other decent Podcasts out there. Openpodcast.org was a good first attempt at seeing the width and breadth of what's coming out. But I'm limiting myself to Adam Curry, Shahrum Amiri, the Point, Dawn and Drew, Your Mac Life, and Leo LaPorte. I think that's enough for right now without sucking up all my free time. And I've been able to get out a few early attempts at Podcasts. I've got three of them up right now, and I've got some other recordings in the queue so there's plenty of content. I've decided to leave out any special production work like setting up a home studio rig. I'm just using the iRiver iFP-895 and the cheapy headset noise-cancelling mic and the sound isn't too bad. I like it, it's clear enough for me. Not quite like the guy from the Reel Review or Adam Curry, but intelligible and some amount of 'presence'.
