Bloggers in Iran
Blogs are an interesting way to get into people's heads. And since the Web is Worldwide (duh!) we can get into English-speaking people's heads everywhere.
I was struck by this especially when I read in the Christian Science Monitor about Iranian bloggers who are speaking out about their issues with the Iranian government. One particular Iranian woman is featured, blog name LadySun.
Maybe blogs will become a tool to bring us all closer.

Free Blogging!!
For anyone who can't afford the $50 or $100 to set up on Radio or Blogger, there is a cheaper choice. Live Journal offers a free way to blog. Their service has two levels, free and paid. The paid account offers more options in look-and-feel of the blog, as well as other special features. But the free account has everything a person would need to blog. The Live Journal project is open source, so it is being run by volunteers and donations. It is a pretty good example of the gift economy.
I am staying on Radio blogs, for the record. I am happy with their service and software, so I have no reason to switch. But I am happy that now cost is not an issue for those intelligent potential bloggers out there who are just brimming with good ideas they'd like to write about.

The Careless Hand
Here's a great blog about alternative medicine, particularly homeopathy, by Bernie Simon. It's called The Careless Hand.
