HALO.TV

Another radio talk show is HALO - Health, Anti-Aging, Lifestyle Options. The host is not nearly as annoying as some of those on Wisdom (see below) and he often has great guests. Plus, all his shows are archived on his Website, although some of the shows have ridiculous multi-level marketing ads.

Wisdom Radio

If you are interested in holistic health topics, you may like to listen to Wisdom Radio, either streaming on the Web or on Sirius satellite radio. It has a lot of interesting interviews with "New Age" people, including some holistic health luminaries.

It's really a pleasure to be able to tune in to health topics that do not involve dangerous drugs or surgery. I guess the two downsides of Wisdom Radio are the hosts and the focus.

Several of the hosts of the various talk radio shows are quite annoying. They tend to be overly enthusiastic about whatever the guest is talking about, even though it is usually pretty obvious they've never read the person's book or even Website. The best hosts are Colleen Pyke, Michael Toms and Carolyn Craft. As for the bad hosts, let's say that they even have a Rush Limbaugh-style New Age guy who just goes through the headlines and bitches about stuff and leaves long pauses between his sentences. Truly awful...

The second downside is that this is absolutely a "New Age" focused radio station, not a holistic health radio station. About once every other day there is a holistic health topic that is at least vaguely interesting. All the rest of the shows are New Age and pop psychology.

All of this is a pain, certainly. However, Wisdom Radio is still the best choice on the Internet or anywhere else for holistic health information.
