Paul Zane Pilzer Working on the Wellness Savings Account
I just got word yesterday that Paul Zane Pilzer is working on federal legislation to change the "Medical Savings Account" (MSA) to become a "Wellness Savings Account." As a refresher, MSAs are available today. They allow people to save for out-of-pocket medical expenses using a tax-deferred retirement account. However, the catch is you can only withdraw from them for "medically necessary" treatments, which are limited to MD/DO visits, surgery, drugs, and one holistic health treatment (acupuncture). But Paul is working on changing that to include as many holistic treatments as possible. Wish him luck!

Open-Minded MDs and DOs in Columbus Ohio Area
Through my work, I've had the chance to become acquainted with a number of MDs and DOs who are very open-minded to holistic practices, indeed, they practice them themselves! I can only tell you about physicians in the Central Ohio area, but here are some (since I have not visited each of them as a patient, I cannot recommend or comment on their skills as physicians, only their open-mindedness):
Stevan Walkowski DO (Columbus downtown) (614) 220-9355
Jacqueline Chan DO (Lancaster) (740) 653-0017
Rene Blaha MD (Lancaster) (740) 653 0017
Hari Sharma MD (Plain City) (614) 879-7898
Richard Simmons MD (Columbus downtown) (614) 863-0071
C.S. Chen DO (Dublin) (614) 764 9500
Larry Everhart MD (Columbus) (614) 848-2600
Theresa Quinlin MD (Canal-Winchester) (614) 833-1500
Ann Littleton MD (Northwest Columbus) (614) 442-5557
