The Legend That Is Les Paul Les Paul, the very first guitar god who never played a note of rock 'n roll, turned 88 recently. The Wizard of Waukesha grew up just a few miles up the road from where I live. Dave Tianen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel caught his weekly Monday gig at the Iridium Lounge in New York recently, and got nearly a mile of space in the Sunday paper to cover it.
