There is always next year
As a Rider fan I can't count how many times I've said, well, maybe next year.   This is unfortunately one of those years.   The team really got it all together in the second half, but that was not enough leaving the final score 30 - 23 with Edmonton winning.   I'm bummed, but I still love these guys!

Time for some Rider Pride!
My lazy boy recliner is ready, a mesquite flavoured beef roast is slow cooking on the grill and at 4:00 PM PST (Channel 99, CBC on Comcast in Seattle) the Saskatchewan Roughriders are playing the Edmonton Eskimos for the 2003 Western Conference Final.

If you have spent anytime of your life living in the Canadian Province of Saskatchewan you would be hard pressed to not be a die hard Rider fan.  The Saskatchewan Roughriders are definitely Canada's most loved football team and of course have the best fans in the world.

The drive for the Grey Cup this year is extra special as it will be held in the Roughrider's home town of Regina.   If the Riders win today they will play for the cup in their home town.   So emotions are running high for me today, its hard not to get teary eyed thinking about this sports team.

The Riders and of course their fans symbolize a way of life and a set of values from the Prairie province that I grew up in.   Words like tenacity, never giving up, loyalty come to mind when I think of this team and the fans.  I hope they win today, if so Grey Cup Party at my house next weekend.

Let's go Riders!
Let's go!

Let's go Riders!
Let's go!

Are you ready for some real football?
