Elvis rocked the house
I went out to see Elvis Costello at the State Theare last night as part of the Sydney Festival. He rocked. The show started at 8pm. Elvis came out, grabbed a guitar and started to play. He was later joined on stage by Steve Nieve who played the piano, then later another dude came out to play bass. At 10pm, he stopped playing and then a series of encores saw him wrap up at 10.30pm. Overall, it was great, but I was disappointed he didn't do his signature songs, such as Pump It Up, Oliver's Army, A Good Year For The Roses, etc. I'm off to see him on Tuesday at the Opera House with the Sydney Symphony.
