The Boston Bloggers Will Meet Today Looks like an interesting gathering of people.  And they have grabbed some of the speakers from Jupiter's Blog conference.  Hopefully I will finish my tour soon enough to drop by.   4:58:44 AM    comment [] Off to Boston Today I have to freshen up my knowledge base of Boston conference facilities.  A friend and former colleague wants to hold a scientific/technical conference in Boston during the upcoming year.  The last time I ran a conference in Boston, June 2000, the hotel room rates were way over-priced in comparison to other US cities and facilities were really overcharging for network connectivity.  Hopefully this has changed somewhat otherwise I will highly recommend the event be held in Austin.  Great convention/conference facility, co-operative hotels, a good mix of entertainment options and most of the people you meet are genuine Texas friendly.  Oh yeah, and the city is wired.  It could compete with Helsinki for connectivity.       4:52:20 AM    comment []
