According to this CNN story, it looks like Boston's mayor Tom Menino is going to stick his neck out and formally ask the Feds for regulations that will allow New England cities to import prescription drugs from Canada.
From the same article, the FDA thinks the importation plan is unsafe...
"Clearly, it's illegal. More importantly, it's unsafe," said Peter Pitts, associated external relations commissioner for the FDA.
Excuse me Mr. Pitts, if I can't afford my perscriptions drugs here in the US, then I die.
