More reaction on the report from Fairfax County's Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC), blogged here last week, as reported in the Connection Newspapers' County Notebook (Dec 10, 2003).

"Supervisor Gerry Connolly (D-Providence) criticized EQAC, saying he was "disappointed at the relative short shrift telework gets in your report." Connolly is an advocate of teleworking who has set as a goal to get 20 percent of the county's workforce to telecommute. The EQAC report recommends that up to 50 percent of the county's workforce telecommute to reduce congestion on the roads and air pollution. Connolly said his 20 percent goal was the highest in the region. "To set unrealistic goals, I don't think serves any purpose," he said."
