Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

"Worst. Album. Covers. Ever. " - Good for a quick laugh.  :)

The problem with abundance. BoingBoing pal Clayton says:
Here's an interesting piece on the unforeseen problems that can arise in modern society when previously scarce resources become commonplace... from obesity to P2P. And it kind of puts the Amish desire to "freeze" progress in a new light, as if it were the desire to blunt massive societal upheaval from new tech developments.

Interesting article for a quick read.  It reminds me of a book I read my freshman year of college, How Much Is Enough.  Consumption and abundance does not really always make the world a better place...

I just realized something missing from my life.  In college when I would get stressed and things didn't make sense I knew this little park I could sneak to and swing until everything seemed right with the world again.  I don't know where to go to swing in Maryland.

Zelda Fitzgerald. "She was conscious that the things she did were the things she had always wanted to do."

I liked this quote 'cause it reminded me of this wonderful feeling I had Saturday.  I was running some errands for a friend and realized I was riding through some hilly roads, on a sunny day with a big sheepdog right beside me in a clunky jeep.  That's the kind of girl I always wanted to be.  And the kind of moments I wanted to have.  It's weird (in a good way) when you think of an image that sounds cool and then...5-10 years later experience it.
