I've been in Chicago (which I adore so far) and been alone and....enjoyed it! Hello! Tonight I went to a little bar (Downtown Chicago) and listened to some blues, had a delicious steak and a few drinks...and smiled a lot. It felt nice. Not at all weird like I sort of expected. I like to think that I care more deeply than most for folks, but it's nice when I enjoy my own company and am only concerned with how good of a time I'm having. So, maybe like van Gogh, I found myself having fun because it happened and not 'cause I planned it...but either way it's been nice.
