I'm starting a business book club at work.  I sent an e-mail to all staff and was half-expecting to get zero responses.  Currently we're up to 12 members!  Yay!  The list I sent out of possible books was: Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't by Jim Collins Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham Blink : The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable by Patrick M. Someone (me) woke up in a GREAT mood today.  Partially I think it's 'cause I had an energy surge yesterday afternoon that helped me catch-up a bit at work.  I realized recently that this is the busiest job I've ever had.  I like it...it's just constant remembering of things to do and people to check on and such.  I over-use my Outlook calendar to remember to check up on things.  I just shared my calendar at work so now people can see my funny notes like "check on printer-friendly for (client name)".  heh.  I'm such a dork. I did talk to a Texan at 8 this morning and had the nicest reminder about my favorite thing about the south...the sweet manners.  Like ending the call with "i sure appreicate ya" instead of "okay, thanks."  Slight difference, but the first one made me so much more smilier than the latter would've. I'm voting that baby-boy black is going to be born tomorrow...but that clock starts at 12:01.  :) Off to a meeting! 8:57:05 AM
