Such loveliness exists in my world.  Friday night was wonderful.  The girls hung out longer out my house than I expected, but they did love the house and I did just the right amount of food for snacking and there was plenty to drink...a score as a hostess for me (since i'm not used to playing the role).  Then we headed for karaoke and ended up spending the evening there....a neighborhood bar with CHEAP drinks and fun songs for us to sing.  As "the girls" I think we sang:  Hit me with you best shot, love shack, baby got back, baby hit me one more time, if i had a million dollars, and wild thing.  Is that it?  However it worked it was a blast.  Silly flirting ensued (engaged guys should have to wear rings too, darnit!)..  :)

Today started out nice.  I talked K into sleeping on my couch rather than driving home, so we got up and wandered until we found the farmer's market.  She was in her going-out-outfit, so she got a few honks/whistles.  We found the market, but it was a bit disappointing...just 4-5 booths rather than the dozen or more we're used to.  I did get some tomatoes and squash.  Then our noses led us to a most wonderful bakery.  We found a bench and enjoyed the pay-off of our walk.

After she left, I cleaaned up from the party and walked to the Daily Grind to meet S and have some chai and good conversations.  Then after a few hours we went to Matthew's for pizza...which hasn't disappointed me yet.  And then I walked home.  Have I mentioned my complete love of my move?  It's one of my favorite things ever...such a perfect location for me.  I love, love, love that I can walk to places that I already liked.  I am a city girl.  Born and raised in the country or small towns, but a true city girl at heart somehow.

I was lazy much of the day after that with napping and such, but heading out soon.  I enjoyed some wine that was given to me as a gift.  Yum!  Tomorrow I have to take care of my room, hopefully go tubing and for a hike and then gear up for a week of HARD work.  They have been super nice with my car stuff and now it's time to get into serious gear.  I have quite a bit going on next week so I will have a rental car all week (at least until my car is done...it will work right again, right?) so I can work long hours.

Sometimes I may waiver on who I am, the life I lead and where I'm going...but I feel quite content right now.  I may not have the life I had envisioned at 5 or 8 or 18...but I have a life that is worthwhile and filled with goodness.   I loved the e-mail today from the coworker-friend that joined up with my friends last night saying "Your friends are awesome."  It's true.

Kinda similar to my karaoke philosophy:  if you can't sing - PERFORM!  So, going up to try to sing seriously and not being able to just doesn't work. It's painful.  But if you go up and sing and dance and put on a show...the lack of singing abilities is often overlooked.  I am choosing to perform.
