opensourcexperts.com

An interesting concept at opensourcexperts.com. I haven't made up my mind whether this is an incredibly stupid idea or a brilliant one. I am sure it is one or the other. I am sure this concept exists in similar form elsewhere. I haven't seen it in done just this way though before.

One of the perennial problems of open source is getting timely information and expertise in small usable bits. This concept seems to provide a way for seekers to get what they need and for providers to get compensated. One question that comes to mind though is will people pay for what they perceive the can get for free? I guess time will tell.

I exist on both sides of this fence. I am active providing non paid support as an Microsoft MVP. I am also a relative novice Zope and Plone user. So I am torn in my assessment.

Regardless I wish those involved success.

Zanardi, Andretti and Ferrari

This is an endurance KART event in Brazil that many of the top name F1, CART and other drivers participate in. Interesting to note that Alex Zanardi competed and finished 4th.

Also interesting is that teamed with Barichello and Massa (both F1 drivers for Ferrari) was Marco Andretti -- Mario's grandson. Maybe he will be driving a Ferrari some day? Now that would be something to see. An American of Italian heritage in a Ferrari.
