Swedish furniture store targets Japanese market. [Radio Australia] The world's largest furniture retailer, Ikea, is gearing up for its second crack at the Japanese market, two decades after pulling out in defeat. The Swedish firm will open its first store on the outskirts of Tokyo next Monday and plans to establish at least three more by the end of 2008. But analysts have cast doubt over the likely success of Ikea's latest attempt, given the poor showinng of other foreign retailers in the past. 2006.04.20
