Jinni's post surgery oncology prescription could be worse, I guess. Taxotere infusions once a week for twelve weeks... then Arimidex orally once a day for five years. (yep, five)
Dr. Ennever wanted to start treatments next week but Jinni put it off until the following week. She and a bunch of girlfriends have a beach weekend planned and not even cancer can keep her off the beach.
The way I figure it, we are going to be tied down with chemo sessions for much of the summer so I'm glad she is going while she can.
Follow up surgery is tomorrow @ 10:30a.

Thanks for all of the background and foreground words of support and encouragement. We are doing fine, really. Kind of bummed about the chemo treatments but what can you do but accept it, schedule it, and deal with it. Are we feeling sorry for ourselves? Well, yeah... that happened last Wednesday between the hours of 2:00 and 6:30p. But we have five lives to live around here... big, long, full lives.
