Radio Memories My students are amazed to learn that I did not grow up with television. My family had no TV until late 1956, so our main forms of entertainment were reading, games, and radio.  Advantage to me: on radio, the pictures are far better, right? A web site called Radio Memories now offers CDs and cassettes of many popular radio shows from the 40s and 50s. The list is long, from A Date with Judy and Abbott and Costello to Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. Each CD or cassette is only $5.00 plus shipping. They have several of my old favorites: Inner Sanctum Mysteries, Lux Radio Theatre, and The Cisco Kid.
