Great Lakes and Climate Change

Do you think the weather has changed since we were kids?

If you live in one of the 8 Great Lakes states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin) or the province of Ontario, you may see significant changes in climate over the next 20 years. By the end of this century, your kids and grandkids are headed for even bigger changes.

So says a report on Great Lakes Communities and Ecosystems at Risk, issued by the Union of Concerned Scientists. This report is not political hype but cautious scientific assessment. Take a look at your state and, if you are concerned, the site suggests ways that you may take action.
