I've set up this Blog for people to send notes to Keith.

It's easy to do.  Simply click here and whatever you put in your email message will show up below.  His parents can then print this site out and read them to Keith.

If the link above doesn't seem to work, you can also send emails to keith@gatorbus.com with the subject "Keith".  Make sure you ONLY put "Keith" (no quotes) in the subject or it won't work.  And it must be just how it appears here with a capital "K".

NOTE: it usually takes about 1-2 minutes after sending your email for it to show up here... BUT it can take up to 12 hours depending on whether my laptop is on or not. Just send the email one time.

To all, I spoke to Keith's Dad again this afternoon. His family is hanging in there. They are requesting that no one fly out to visit him until they can move him out of the ICU into a ward room. Then, there won't be limitations on visitors (right now, they're limiting to two at a time). Keith continues to have ups and downs but overall, I believe he has trended up. His blood pressure and kidneys are the main things keeping him in the ICU. He was able to respond appropriately to his neurologist today by nodding his head yes and no. He still cannot speak which is concerning considering where the bleed was. His boss whispered something in his ear last night and he attempted a smile. Continue to send him messages, he gets them/people are reading them to him. Please continue to pray. HUDKINS

To all, Sorry for such a late email. I'm now at my parent's in Dallas on a week leave. While in Houston I received a voice mail from Mr. Drogan. Keith was extubated today and is no longer on the ventilator. However, he becomes very anxious at times elevating his blood pressure. He has been put back on blood pressure drips (to avoid restarting the bleed) and has once again been sedated. The good news is that he can breathe on his own. His dad did not relay whether or not Keith can talk. In between being extubated and then resedated, Keith once again gave the thumbs up to everyone. There are two things concerning. One, all of his motions have been with the left side of his body. He has not made any motions with his right side (this makes since due to the insult to his left brain). Hopefully, with resolution of the clot, physical and occupational therapy Keith will be able to regain function of his right side. The most important thing now is to get his blood pressure under control, get his kidneys functioning and get him out of the ICU. The last thing he needs is to lay in bed and contract pneumonia (the ICU is full of terrible bugs). These are the goals for now. Just so you know, I bet most of us have never laid in bed for an entire week. Knowing how much energy Keith has, you can imagine how irritating/exacerbating that could be. In addition, he's probably having some realization of what has happened to him. One of his friends in LA has come up with a great idea. Please type a message to Keith and send it to me and I will forward it on. They will take the messages, print them out and read them to Keith when they visit. Keep praying, HUDKINS
