I've set up this Blog for people to send notes to Keith.

It's easy to do.  Simply click here and whatever you put in your email message will show up below.  His parents can then print this site out and read them to Keith.

If the link above doesn't seem to work, you can also send emails to keith@gatorbus.com with the subject "Keith".  Make sure you ONLY put "Keith" (no quotes) in the subject or it won't work.  And it must be just how it appears here with a capital "K".

NOTE: it usually takes about 1-2 minutes after sending your email for it to show up here... BUT it can take up to 12 hours depending on whether my laptop is on or not. Just send the email one time.

Below is an update I received from Jenny on Sunday, she flew out to LA on Friday for Keith's birthday.-Brad

Hi guys. Just a brief update since the computer at the hospital is 90 years old and has a blurry screen that is making my eyes bleed to death.

Keith is sleeping right now. We're at Daniel Freeman hospital, which is known for it's wonderful physical therapy program.

Keith is improving more everyday. He is pretty lethargic today, and yesterday, which is quite normal after having been in bed for two weeks. The program he is in is very aggressive Monday thru Friday. So, tmw, he'll get busy. He had some therapy today, and that involved him getting in the wheel chair and trying to move around the floor a little bit. He isn't really wanting to right now, but it's because he's very weak. The more they get him up to do this, he'll get more and more energized. His right side is still pretty motionless, but yesterday I was pinching him and he moved his leg a couple times and his toes too.. So, he has feeling, it just needs to be moved around a lot to get the blood flow back in action. He's talking here and there. He knows that sometimes he doesn't make sense with the words he's using, so he getting a little pissy. He just shakes his head like, "geezz...you don't understand what I'm saying..forget it." But, we're encouraging him not to stop talking because of that. Sometimes he's interested in looking at pictures..sometimes he just wants to rest. The therapists have high hopes, and so do we. We know that he's going to be fine. It just takes work and perseverance, which Keith has an overfill of. He's still Keith. If anyone is wondering. He still has his memory. We know it. For sure. He remembers our faces, and he's still smiling about our little jokes. We were telling him that we're going to shave him today or tmw, since he has a little bit of a beard and hairy arms and legs, which Keith can't stand. Uli told him that he was going to comb over his "two hairs" (if you don't know, Keith has issues with his balding) and he just SMILED hugely. It was great. He smiled at his Sponge Bob birthday card that Rachael and Kevin gave him, and Brad's birthday card with the sexy woman on the front. He sang Happy Birthday twice on his birthday with us...he actually sang along, so he remembers those words. He had quite a birthday celebration. He had a birthday cake and there were about 15 of his friends in the room. He was happy. Lots of smiles and high fives/hand shakes.

I was just telling Lamont that last night cracked us up. I was sitting next to him and he looked over at me and puckered up the left side of his face. I said, "do you want a kiss?" He shook his head. So, I kissed him and he said, "Good night." The same thing with Rachael after that, and then we asked him, Do you want us to leave? And he said, "Yeah"....... So, we said, OK! And headed out. He's being assertive about what he wants even if what he says doesn't make sense. He's been watching football and basketball.. He's so Precious. I asked him a few minutes ago.."Does this suck or what?" And he looked at me and said, Yes. We're encouraging him, and he knows that he has lots and lots of friends pulling for him. He's not alone in this at all. Ron was here yesterday. He definitely knew who Ron was. Every few minutes he'd look over at Ron and nod his head. You know, the "what's up" nod. Cracks me up.

There are so many other little things he's doing that show that Keith is still totally in tact. I want everyone to know that. He's eating well..

The other day, they did this exercise with him. The wrote down words and then laid out pictures of the words. He matched them all exactly. So, he knows how to read. The doctors keep saying "It's all in there"... He just needs some help finding how to express it again. That's exactly what he's getting here!

So, it's going great. I have no doubts in my mind about Keith having a complete recovery. This program is 21 days long. After that he'll be evaluated regarding what's to come.

Prayers are fueling this recovery, so don't stop. !!!! :) God is good. And he's been good to Keith.

We love all of you, and are telling Keith daily that everyone is thinking about him.
