West Va. Secrecy Growing Under Gov. Wise

The number of exemptions to the West Virginia's Freedom of Information Act doubled last year. To the eight existing ones were added eight new ones -- all purportedly to address some homeland security concern. More are expected this year. It's a strange turnabout for Gov. Bob Wise (D), who had been an advocate of FOI when he was a subcommittee chairman in the U.S. House of Representatives.
