I called Toshiba this morning to find out when my tablet pc would arrive.

The customer disservice agent looked up the order, and the ETA was still listed as yesterday. I asked her if she had any additional information, and she said no. I asked her if there was any way to get more information. She said that she could forward me to her supervisor, but he wasn't actually there and I could only leave a voicemail. I asked her if the supervisor had any more information about what the status was of my order.

Crickets.

After several moments of awkward (for her) silence, I answered the question for her (no), said "have a good day" and hung up.

I checked tonight. The order still hasn't shipped.

Oh, and by the way, I got the times wrong for their customer disservice line. It closes at 8pm Eastern time, 5pm Pacific. Even less friendly for people on the West Coast.

They definitely won't be getting any repeat business from me, and if they keep it up they may not even end up getting this business from me.
