Voting in Ohio
I voted this morning; I live in Ohio; no Republican challengers were in my precinct. It's not necessarily great living in a "battleground" state. My vice is being a soccer referee. Twice I had to plot my route to games against the probable closing of highways due to travels of presidential or vice presidential candidates. Then we get some (I emphasize "some") Republican leaders ostensibly worried about "fraud" deciding to post people in certain (probably heavily Democrat) precincts to make sure only registered voters actually voted. The prospects for abuse of this tactic boggle the mind. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed.
We have the infamous punch cards where I vote. Even before the hanging chad controversy, I have always double checked my card. I take it out and check the back, then double check that the number I thought I punched is the number that was actually punched. I try to tell people I've outgrown my engineering personality, but there must be lingering effects.
