Last year I traveled so much from August through November that I actually had to turn down good trips that came late when I had prior commitments. One trip I couldn't make was to Seville, Spain and the Honeywell EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) users conference. I had to cover the wireless networking announcement made there remotely. That was the first wireless announcement I missed since Emerson Process's John Berra fired the first round at last year's ARC Conference in Orlando. Honeywell followed in June, Emerson again in October, Honeywell in November, and now it's Emerson's turn again. I'm leaving Monday for Emerson's EMEA user conference in Bologna, Italy and another major wireless announcement. Look for news Wednesday or Thursday.
