You see the wireless network connections all over the place -- especially in airports -- advertising "Free Public WiFi" or "Free Internet Access." Honeywell personnel changes I wrote about Peter Zornio jumping ship from Honeywell to Emerson. Honeywell also lost another high level marketing person and I've heard about some other personnel shifting. So I asked about it. The response is that this is just some normal personnel moves and that there is nothing extraordinary going on. No changes in direction or strategy. More industry personnel moves Still trying to catch up after the last trip. Siemens Energy & Automation has announced some personnel moves. Chief Operating Officer Dennis Sadlowski has been holding a second portfolio as vice president of the Power Distribution & Controls Division. Tom Kopanski is moving to that division from the Automation and Motion Division. Replacing Kopanski at AMD is Raj Batra, who has been vice president at the Automotive and Aerospace Center of Competence. We covered this move earlier at Automation World. 7:09:31 AM    comment []
